On This Day ...

Four years ago, on this day, my little sister married her best friend and love of her life.  On a day that is also our mother's birthday, so it was a doubly-fun day!  I was dancing the night away with my husband and everyone was fawning over little Jacob (he was only 16 months old at the time).

It's crazy how much life can change in just a few short years.  But, for now, I just want to remember what a magical and happy day that was. :)

We started the morning off getting our hair done at Ashlee & Mike's apartment.  I absolutely LOVE the way my hair turned out!!

Once we were done with our hair and make-up, the limo picked us up and we headed to the church to get dressed and do some pre-wedding photos with Ashlee's CRAZY photographer!  haha

We were running short on time, so almost immediately after we finished photos it was time to start the ceremony ... it was absolutely stunning.  Here are just a few of my favorite photos from that day.

The reception was just as magical and beautiful as the ceremony.  We ate, danced, some drank (not me, I had a 15 month old to deal with!) and had a wonderful time celebrating the marriage of Ashlee and Mike.  I had so much fun helping her pick a dress and planning her bridal shower in the weeks and months leading up to their wedding.  It was kind of bittersweet that it was all over in the blink of an eye.

Ok, so their photographer might have been "crazy", but she did an awesome job on their photos.  :)

Anyway, I'm so glad I was there to celebrate with them.  I wish Ashlee were still here to celebrate with Mike this year, but I know she's smiling down on him this year, this day ... and every day. :)

Lucky Number 7!

Let me preface this by saying, I realize I'm two months late on this blog post.  I'm so far behind on ALL my blog posts, but I'm slowly getting caught up, so please bear with me!

Anywho, May 6, 2013 was our SEVENTH wedding anniversary.  Lucky number 7!  I feel like we've come so far from the people we were when we got married.  We've fought more times than I care to think of, but made up just as many. We've been on countless vacations together. We've brought two beautiful children in to this crazy world.  We've moved 4 times, but seem to finally be settled some place that is suited well for us.  We've been through a lot, and I'm sure will go through many more ups and downs throughout the years, but I wouldn't want to go through them with anyone else.

I love you, babe!  You're the best husband and best friend a girl could ever hope for.  You're a wonderful, hands on daddy, too.  Our babies are blessed beyond measure to be able to call you their daddy!  <3 p="">
And, while I'm at it ... the other night while looking through some old photos, I came across a CD with a bunch of photos from our wedding and honeymoon, so I scrapped a few of them.  :)  Here they are for your viewing pleasure:

6 years!

I cannot believe it's been that long since we tied the knot over looking the beautiful clear, blue caribbean. 

In the past 6 years, we've had our fair share of fights (and, making up ;)).  We've moved twice. He's been promoted a few times at work, and I was once.  We've welcomed two amazing little guys into our family, and I'm preparing to quit my full-time job outside of the home, to stay home with our little ones.  We've had an amazing journey so far, I can't wait to see where the next six years will take us!

So, here's to you, babe, and the amazing life we've created together.  Happy anniversary to my husband ... my best friend, love of my life and father to my children.  I love you!!
